i started my blogging since 2005. the blog covers my life journey in all the cities. back then, blog was cool, that's why google bought blogspot. now, blog sounds like 70 years old. this is internet, always emerging, always adapting.

now it seems everyone is microblogging. type on the smart phones on a sentence or two, and fans follows, huge amount of opinions. microblogging prevails because it fits the internet style, fast, pop, hype, buzz, eyeballs catching. it just likes the endless ocean tides. it keeps coming, yeah, it keeps fading.

why not facebook, twitter? hmm...they are the same issues as this blogspot. they all are blocked in china. you can sense the power of mass communication.

《让子弹飞》一会儿，各种各样的解读就越发神奇地冒了出来，以至于大家都相信中宣部很生气，要禁这部电影的传言。

说到禁片，让人联想到姜文的《鬼子来了》。最近网上《鬼子来了》和《阳光灿烂的日子》也热了起来。《鬼子来了》里面没有一个正面人物，这样的片子是完全反传统的，里面没有敌后抗日力量的正面描写，对日本侵略者也表现出了复杂的感情。里面最多的就是令人吃惊的愚昧无知，唯利是图，摇摆不定的农民和城市小市民，尽管鲁迅早已经在他的作品中对中国农民的愚昧落后表现出了强烈地深恶痛绝和悲哀。

《阳光灿烂的日子》是一部大家都看得懂的片子。

Mao, A Life by Philip Short.

Both books add up over 1000 pages. There is a saying that "tomorrow is a mystery", but for Mao, it would be much appropriate to say "history is a mystery". you can peek through the books, and know some brutal facts based on what the authors are trying to tell. However, you might have another doubt, "what's real?", and feel lucky no part of those revolutionary days.

郑超麟在回忆录中说：“独秀刚宣布散会时，和森忽然站起来，说他还有一个问题请大家讨论。他说：‘警予同志和述之同志发生了恋爱……’”会议之后，向警予斥责蔡和森自私自利：“分明晓得中央会站在你方面，你才提出问题来讨论。”受到指责的蔡其时一言未发。

中共对彭述之的行为进行了批评。为了挽救“向蔡同盟”，中央决定让向蔡二人同赴莫斯科。当时，与蔡和森夫妇一起赴莫斯科的还有李立三夫妇等人。李立三的妻子李一纯出于同情和关心，对病中的蔡和森给予了许多照顾，慢慢地两人竟然产生了感情。

李一纯，原名李崇英，是一名受新思想影响的湖南青年，1923年参加革命，1925年入党。她本是杨开智的妻子，毛泽东和杨开慧的嫂子。1923年1月，杨开智找到当时正在北京从事工人运动的李立三，说他在北京还有一些事情要处理，因此，拜托李立三照顾他的妻子李一纯南归长沙。出乎意料的是，两李在南归途中产生了爱慕之情。结果，李一纯没有回到长沙，而是跟随李立三到安源另组了家庭。

1927年3月，李一纯跟随蔡和森从莫斯科回国。

今年的贺岁大片，《大笑江湖》，《赵氏孤儿》，《让子弹飞》三部抢了头彩。其中《大笑江湖》本山小品的电影版，让人傻笑几声，看了不累。《赵氏孤儿》比《无极》强，但是越看越无聊。《让子弹飞》让人看了真爽，不单是贺岁片里的翘楚，我看也是大陆电影里的又一个里程碑。三个爷们儿，站着就把钱挣了！葛优简直就是一个戏精。

不过奇怪得很，这几年大陆的盗版控制得一直都很好，国外的大片，在ＤＶＤ发行之前，几乎是没有盗版的。这三个电影就不同，还在电影院里上映，比较清晰的片源就现在就出现在网上和街边小贩的三轮车上。

梁启超之死

梁思成传记有这么一段，讲述了梁启超的死因，令人震惊。

对于梁启超的死因真相，梁思成及其家人并不知道，公众更不必说了。直到梁启超逝世40年以后的1971年，梁思成才从他的家庭医生那里得知其父早逝的真相。

据当年参加了梁启超手术的实习生透露，梁启超被推进了手术室以后，值班护士用碘酒在梁的肚皮上标错了地方，主刀医生是协和医院最著名的外科教授刘博士，但由于疏忽，他没有仔细核对病人的X光片，就进行了手术。手术虽然很顺利，却把那只健康的肾切除了。这个严重的错误，在当时就已被发现，但无法挽救了。

为了维护协和医院的名誉，和顾忌社会各方面的反响，此事被作为最高机密，严格地保存下来。事后，刘博士辞去协和医院外科医生的职务，而到国民党政府卫生部当政务次长了。

1997年中国文联出版公司翻译出了美国学者费正清夫人费蔚梅所著《梁思成与林徽因》一书，此书首次披露了梁启超的死因真相，但不知有多少人读过这本书，可能至今还有很多人，包括研究梁启超的学者在内，都还不了解梁启超死因的真相呢!

有媒体揭露宝鸡市政府像白宫，看照片的确挺漂亮的。

从宝鸡去咸阳机场会经过这个新的政府大楼，位于宝鸡新城，周围依旧很荒凉的样子。其实就这个政府大楼而言，政府在新城建设中起到了表率作用，自己先从市中心迁到这里。宝鸡也不是什么贫困县市，盖这个楼也没啥大不了的，就是灯光多了点，亮了点。

大笑江湖 Just Call Me Nobody

如果比起《三枪》，这部电影绝对是前进了一大步。虽然是本山制作，但是已经抛开了东北二人转的束缚，在加上宁财神，注定了这部电影在南方北方的热卖。这是一部你愿意看下去，不觉得堵得想骂人的片子。话说回来，和《剑雨》比还是有差距滴。国内这几年出了很多恶搞武侠古装片，都大同小异。

大笑江湖的故事，可以看作恶搞版《笑傲江湖》。我觉得最精彩的部分，就是那个小道士在船上意外地捡了本《九阴真经》，神来之笔。

新林院8号，中国现代著名建筑师梁思成与林徽因从1946年到1954年的居所，不仅见证了清华建筑系创建的历史、新中国文物保护事业的起步，而且从这里诞生了新中国国徽、人民英雄纪念碑等设计方案。今天的新林院8号仿佛依然清茶飘香、意韵隽永。

典雅的居室

抗日战争胜利后，清华大学复员北平。1946年10月建成已逾十载的新林院8号，迎来新的主人———梁思成、林徽因一家。

新林院 8号小院周围，砌了低矮的砖垛略作围护，四周花木扶疏，阳光自林荫透过。正房十分高大，前檐砌出拱形雨篷，当时未装暖气，冬天要烧三四个大火炉取暖；正房与后院之间是教授们余暇聚会的场所。相邻几个小院围合成的空场地供孩子们嬉戏，也时常放映露天电影。

据林洙女士回忆，1948年，她初到新林院8号拜访梁思成和林徽因，古色古香的起居室令她记忆犹新：“靠窗放一个大沙发，在屋中间放一组小沙发。靠西墙有一个矮书柜，上面摆着几件大小不同的金石佛像，还有一个白色的小陶猪及马头。家具都是旧的，但窗帘和沙发面料却很特别，质感很强。……像这个客厅这样朴素而高雅的布置，我却从来没有见过。”

此时，梁家保留了抗战前住在北总布胡同时期的“午后茶聚”习惯。每天下午四点半开始，金岳霖、陈岱孙、张奚若夫妇、周培源夫妇和建筑系师生相继到来，哲学、美学、艺术、社会、城市规划、建筑设计、马恩著作等广泛的话题都在讨论之列，实质上就是一个小型文化沙龙。女儿梁再冰至今仍清楚地记着：“我每周回到新林院8号时都发现，这里是一个各种活动———学术的和生活的中心。来到这里的主要是各种年龄的、清华一些不同系的教授、教员和学生们。”

环保绿色的思考

今年中国经济常听到的主题，大概都和绿色环保，可持续发展相关。各个地方也把这个主题当作政治任务来抓。世博也是打着这面大旗搞起来了。但是绿色环保不是一朝一夕的事，也不是只有美好的愿望就可以产生美好的结果的。需要经济，人文，科技实力到位。

最近全国在闹柴油荒，其中一个原因，各个地方为了保政绩，对高能耗企业拉闸限电。企业为了完成任务，没电就自己用柴油机发电。柴油当然紧张了。

昨天上海市中心一座高楼突然大火，烧了几个小时，伤亡惨重。一般的住宅楼烧起来不会这么旺，也就是火点上下几层。这个高楼怎么火气就这么大呢？原来当时正在搞环保装修，楼面涂了一层保温材料。

世博会一结束，各大工地纷纷开动，甚嚣尘上，到处都是土。

最近听到新闻，因为开亚运会，周边的天河路所有的饭馆被限令，不许炒菜，只能水煮，害怕油烟熏着各国友人，WTF！

中国画一般都有很大块的留白，作为画家和欣赏者遐想的空间。但是慢慢地，这些空白处成了到此一游的地方，鉴赏收藏者会得意得盖上自己的章。如果盖得好，那是相得益彰，增添情趣。如果盖得过了头，像这幅画，就毁了。

其中最爱盖章的就算是乾隆了。几乎每幅画他都盖个超大的章。一个不够，还会盖很多。盖章不够，有时候还会即兴题诗，把古画填满。当然，皇帝臭屁，谁也管不着。

Basically, the DH is a player, used to bat instead of the pitcher. The rationale being that pitchers are usually weak hitters, so having another bat in the lineup would strengthen the offense. The DH offers American League managers 2 options in setting their teams' lineups: 1) they can either rotate the role among players (e.g., using a left-handed hitting DH against a right-handed pitcher and vice-versa) or 2) they can employ a full-time DH.

During the World Series, the DH is employed when the team begins a plays in an American League park. This October, the DH will be employed during Games 3-5 in Texas. The pitchers will have to bat for themselves when playing in San Francisco, Games 1-2 and 6-7.

there are over one million visitors in world expo on 10/16. it sets the new record for world expo. i am not sure what they are up to.

i was there on 10/11, it was already half million. the waiting line for many popular pavilions are over 4 hours, it was not fun at all. so we just ate lunch as spanish restaurant, bought some gifts in korean store, and left.

for one million visitors, i guess all you can do is watching the magnificent scene of people mountain and people sea.

应当重视电影《武训传》的讨论

《武训传》所提出的问题带有根本的性质。像武训那样的人，处在清朝末年中国人民反对外国侵略者和反对国内的反动封建统治者的伟大斗争的时代，根本不去触动封建经济基础及其上层建筑的一根毫毛，反而狂热地宣传封建文化，并为了取得自己所没有的宣传封建文化的地位，就对反动的封建统治者竭尽奴颜婢膝的能事，这种丑恶的行为，难道是我们所应当歌颂的吗？向着人民群众歌颂这种丑恶的行为，甚至打出“为人民服务”的革命旗号来歌颂，甚至用革命的农民斗争的失败作为反衬来歌颂，这难道是我们所能够容忍的吗？承认或者容忍这种歌颂，就是承认或者容忍污蔑农民革命斗争，污蔑中国历史，污蔑中国民族的反动宣传为正当的宣传。

电影《武训传》的出现，特别是对于武训和电影《武训传》的歌颂竟至如此之多，说明了我国文化界的思想混乱达到了何等的程度!

在许多作者看来，历史的发展不是以新事物代替旧事物，而是以种种努力去保持旧事物使它得免于死亡；不是以阶级斗争去推翻应当推翻的反动的封建统治者，而是像武训那样否定被压迫人民的阶级斗争，向反动的封建统治者投降。我们的作者们不去研究过去历史中压迫中国人民的敌人是些什么人，向这些敌人投降并为他们服务的人是否有值得称赞的地方。我们的作者们也不去研究自从一八四0年鸦片战争以来的一百多年中，中国发生了一些什么向着旧的社会经济形态及其上层建筑（政治、文化等等）作斗争的新的社会经济形态，新的阶级力量，新的人物和新的思想，而去决定什么东西是应当称赞或歌颂的，什么东西是不应当称赞或歌颂的，什么东西是应当反对的，

特别值得注意的，是一些号称学得了马克思主义的共产党员。他们学得了社会发展史--历史唯物论，但是一遇到具体的历史事件，具体的历史人物（如像武训），具体的反历史的思想（如像电影《武训传》及其他关于武训的著作），就丧失了批判的能力，有些人则竟至向这种反动思想投降。资产阶级的反动思想侵入了战斗的共产党，这难道不是事实吗？一些共产党员自称已经学得的马克思主义，究竟跑到什么地方去了呢？

为了上述种种缘故，应当展开关于电影《武训传，及其他有关武训的著作和论文的讨论，求得彻底地澄清在这个问题上的混乱思想。

I haven't done movie review for quite long, since nothing was that impressive to write something. I watched some movies at theatre, such as Toy Story 3, and seven little monks, all junky. I also watched some on the HD movie channel, and some through the emule.

One movie I am really expecting is Inception.

One movie to mention is Salt, very typical Hollywood made, packed with actions.

Another movie is Remember me. It started with the scene of NYC subway station in 80's. The girl's mother was robbed and murdered. I watched first half, and just can't stand it - another Romeo and Juliet? Yesterday I finished the second half, and it seems just a love story - spoiled rich kid, troubled fatherhood, all looks so normal, until the last minute.

袁老师的历史讲义终于看完了，中国历史和世界近代史大串讲，1到4. 不得不佩服现在的新闻出版行业的开明，这样的书都出版了。袁老师在叙述世界近代史的时候，基本就把社会主义看作历史的倒退，和实践的失败。把苏联看作比德国法西斯还流氓的国家。看到苏联解体，东欧剧变，真是兴奋到极点。对美国这个民主国家的崇拜之情溢于言表。个人觉得，随着中国经济改革和快速发展，加之网络的普及，思想文化领域的价值观的碰撞以后会越来越激烈。甲方高尚，乙方低俗，你越高尚，我越低俗。甲方主旋律，乙方戏虐，你越正统，我越恶搞。

从三亚湾望过去，首先映入眼帘的就是西岛。岛上有各种各样的潜水项目可以尝试，什么深海潜水，浅海潜水，水下漫步，海底摩托。考虑到小孩子，我们玩了海底摩托。由教练推着海底摩托车，游客穿上潜水服，把脑袋伸进一个有氧头盔里，体验一下海底驾驶摩托车的乐趣。可以看到周围的珊瑚和热带鱼。不过在水里，压力还是让人很不舒服。估计潜水也会有这个压力感吧。

经过三个多小时的飞行，飞机在五指山绕了弯，滑过清澈的南海，缓缓地降落在三亚凤凰机场。到了酒店，放下行李，就迫不及待的冲向了海边。人一下子从喧嚣匆忙中静了下来。大概是下午的缘故，海边没有什么人，椰树，草亭，海浪一阵阵的拍打着沙滩，留下一片片白色的贝壳。虽然大家都是来海边度假，但是很少有人去海里游泳。大部分都是在酒店的泳池里泡着。上海的浦东，崇明也可以考虑多修建这样的海边休闲场所。

天涯海角一游

提起海南岛，大家一定都会想起天涯海角这个成语。天朝时期，国人认为世界是从帝都辐射开来的，到来海南岛，就算是到了天之涯，海之角了。超过海南岛以远的，就全都是和猴子一个界别的未开化人种了。当时在大石头上写下天涯和海角的文人，心情一定很复杂，即充满了大国泱泱开化子民的自豪感，又充满了流落天边远离帝都的落寞感。我依稀还记的小时候看过一张什么人站在天涯海角边的照片，哇，这么远，觉得很酷。

从酒店到天涯海角开过去，路边基本上都是偏僻的村落，也看不到什么人。天涯海角公园进去，刚走了几步，已经热的人没了兴致。上了一部游览车，开到终点，还要走好一大段。终于看到了南天一柱，和天涯海角石。嘿嘿，其实狠没有什么奇特的，怪不得藏的这么深。

I was searching for the Mexican food in PuDong area, and found out Hooters is about the only restaurant with Quesadillas, Nachos, etc. Hooters is located at Superbrand Mall, near west entrance. It seems not popular in local China market, but famous in foreigners. There are many customers, but most of them all foreigners.

Besides those Mexican foods, I had Hooters burger. Those are great! Hooters is famous for its waitresses. Hooters girls are in short, like cheerleaders, speaking English well. Posted a googled image.

Mobile failed to sync with OWA exchange server

I use Moto Q9 (WM 6.5 OS) to sync outlook emails. It used to work well, but in recent week, it broken.

It returns the following error:

Synchronization failed. The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your system administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server and try again.

To verify, I check Settings > Security > Certificates > Root. Some root certificates are there, but not with what I am looking for. I guess Exchange server side changed the certificates recently even I was told nothing changed. I called company IT support, and was told the model is not supported.

After several googles and unsuccessful tries, I finally find the solution, and pretty simple. Open the site in Chrome. View the certificate, and export the root (VeriSign Trusted Network in this case) as Base64 encoded X.509 .cer file. Copy the .cer file to the phone and double click. The certificate is imported to mobile successfully, and the problem is fixed.

In Pudong District, the cable TV is upgrading to digital, and even further, to HD and interactive TV. The upgrade is mandatory, or otherwise you can watch only 6 channels. The subscribe fee is the same, and each household can get 2 digital set-top boxes for free now.

To watch HD TV, you need pay extra CNY50 to get another HD set-top box, and the subscribe fee is CNY35 a month. It is worth every penny. The HD video quality is just as good as the HDMI DVD.
